From solo recital space to a cinema room in minutes – Retractable seating.

Hussey Seatway provided The Dowrick Suite at Trevelyan College (Durham University) with the ability to have a multi-use space. 

We transformed this venue into an outstanding recital and rehearsal space.  Using Seatway TP retractable platforms and our Arts Chair, we also provided solid oak side rails and rear rails.

The space is used for numerous concerts by the students throughout the year.  

This is an ideal space for solo performers to practice in a proper recital space.  However, it is even big enough to accommodate chamber ensembles.

It is also used as a cinema room by ‘Films on the Hill’, the College film society.

The finished result is absolutely stunning.
