Hussey Seatway was formed in 2002, by a group of proud, passionate seating specialists with more than 80 years’ experience of design and manufacture in the UK seating industry. Hussey Seating in the USA, (the best known public seating brand in the world), became part of the venture and today our passion and energy has developed custom designed seating solutions for some of the finest sports, education, theatre and entertainment venues in the world.
From our base in the UK, we service markets globally with high quality, effective, innovative seating systems. We are a solution and customer orientated company. Therefore, our focus is on ensuring satisfaction whilst supplying the end user with a product that is specifically designed and tailored for their requirements.
Our directors, David Black, Chris Black and Jason Earl are acknowledged experts in the design and use of fixed and retractable (telescopic) seating systems. The supporting sales team, project managers and engineers have collectively over 200 years of experience within the seating industry. They all thrive on new, challenging projects. We strive to exceed our clients’ expectations and ensure complete satisfaction.
Custom seating solutions
From simple gymnasium bleachers to a high-end, bespoke theatre installation, we are able to utilise our expertise in order to meet the specifiers’ exact requirements. So, we provide initial design and costing advice and perform relevant site visits resulting in the provision of detailed CAD drawings and quotations. Throughout the installation process, we operate a sophisticated management system to provide clear and visible progress reports for our clients. Each project is designed to meet specific budgetary requirements. Our products will enable you to maximise the use of your facility.
Installations are carried out by fully trained staff who hold all necessary supervisory and H&S qualifications. This helps to ensure that projects are installed on time, on budget and most importantly safely. Following the installation process, our service and after sales team provide support and advice throughout the lifetime of the seating system.
We are CHAS, Constructionline, SMAS and Safe Contractor accredited providing buyers and customers with confidence. We are also a member of BASES. Our products and services conform to relevant British, European and North American standards for strength, stability, layout and fire retardancy. In this respect we are proud to provide management resource to the Institute of Structural Engineers, and the BSi and CEN committees presently working on public seating products.
