King’s College School

King’s College School is an independent day school for boys aged 7-18 and girls aged 16-18.

Founded in 1829 by Royal Charter, it is a school of over 1400 pupils and is one of the most academically successful schools in the world. King’s College already had an existing retractable unit in place that was worn and tired and needed a refurb for a fresh new look.

Solution

Hussey Seatway was commissioned to remove and dispose of our competitor’s bench seating, carpet and half steps that were in situ on the retractable unit.

We provided two new sets of aisle steps, new carpet to all the decks and half steps and installed 148 Gallery 3 seats, which included 12 seats on Row 0 to provide even more seating. We also provided 6 usher chairs, re-upholstered 32 existing balcony chairs including replacing the foam and provided two sets of fabric side drapes.
