Newhouse Academy

Location: Lancashire, UK

Rochdale Borough Council granted permission for the Newhouse Academy to replace its outdated facilities with a new three-story, state-of-the-art, net-zero carbon academy building. The new building consists of physical education, construction, technology, science, performing arts, dining facilities and the main hall. Hussey Seatway were chosen to provide the school with new bleacher seating for their main hall.

Solution

As with the majority of new build projects, budget was a key consideration; for that reason, our cost-effective Maxam Plus platform with Discovery benches. For ease, an electrically operated bleacher system with self-storing side rails was installed, allowing for quick turnaround times.  The benches were upholstered in the stunning Camira Aquamarine colour, matching the aesthetics of the remainder of the school.

Another successful collaboration with contractor Morgan Sindall, Hussey Seatway is selected time after time to deliver functional bleacher seating systems for the education sector as part of the Priority Schools Building Programme.
