Hussey Seatway was formed in 2002, by a group passionate seating specialists with decades of industry experience. Our reputation has been built on quality workmanship and exceptional levels of customer service which are both integral to our culture. Hussey Seating of Maine, USA, became part of the venture and today our energy has developed custom designed seating solutions for some of the finest venues in the world.

Our UK team of sales consultants, project managers and engineers thrive on new, challenging projects and collectively we execute over 50 installations annually. We strive to exceed our clients’ expectations and have an extensive product range to meet all requirements. Notable installations in recent years include Alexandra Palace, Royal Opera House, Charterhouse  School and New York University.

We have a dedicated aftersales team who look after your seating unit over it’s lifetime, offering extensive refurbishment services we can breathe new life into existing systems. 

Our Process

From simple gymnasium bleachers to high-end, bespoke telescopic theatre installations, we are able to utilise our expertise in order to meet our customers’ exact requirements.

Consultancy – We provide a no obligation consultancy service, which includes site visit(s), should this be required, initial discussions, a comprehensive proposal, detailed quotations, specifications and drawings. 

Custom Design – We have a creative design and engineering team that produces schematics and detailed drawings to help visualise concepts. 

Manufacture- We have our own assembly operations and a global group of manufacturing partners that gives us choices and high standards on five key measurements: Quality, Technology, Design, Financial Competitiveness.

Project Management- We provide clear and visible progress reports for our clients. Your initial sales contact remains your project manager throughout the life of the project.

Installation- Installations are carried out by fully trained staff who hold all necessary supervisory and H&S qualifications. Comprehensive training is provided to the end user, and a hard copy and electronic O&M manual are provided.

Aftersales – Following the installation process, our service and maintenance team will provide support, servicing agreements and spare parts as required throughout the lifetime of the seating system.

Accreditations

Throughout our organisation, we are driven by the notions of quality, health and safety and customer service.

We are CHAS, Constructionline  Gold, SMAS and Safe Contractor accredited, providing buyers and customers with confidence. We operate a quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2015, allowing us to consistently benchmark and improve our performance. 

 Our products and services conform to relevant British, European and North American standards for strength, stability, layout and fire retardancy. 

Our retractable seating systems comply with BS EN 13200 in the UK and ICC 300 in the USA. All of our steel structures conform to EN1090 execution class 2

All of our site installers complete NVQ L2 Diploma Mechanical Manufacturing for Public Seating Installers, as required by the UK CSCS scheme. Site supervisors hold SMSTS certification and have first aid training to ensure the safety of our crew and those working around us.
